The basics
What is Trips Together?
Trips Together is a group trip planning app that turns the travel reels you save into a trip you actually take. Share an Instagram reel, a TikTok or a YouTube video and we save every place it names to your map. Then tag @Ori in your trip chat to find stays and flights, put the options to a vote and line up the links to book, and split every bill as you go.
How do I turn saved Instagram reels and TikToks into a trip?
Share them to Trips Together and we do the rest. Tap share on a travel reel or TikTok, pick Trips Together and choose a list: we read the reel and save the places it names, without you leaving the app you're in. When your group is ready, start a trip, tag @Ori in the chat and plan it from there.
Is Trips Together free?
Yes. The new Trips Together has a free tier, so you can plan trips with your friends for nothing, and a paid tier, Trips Together Premium, for when you want more.
Is Trips Together on iPhone and Android?
The new Trips Together is coming to iPhone and Android, so everyone in your group can join whatever phone they have. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment it's out.
Saving places
What can I save to Trips Together?
You can share Instagram reels, TikToks and YouTube videos straight to Trips Together, and we save the places they name. You can also bring in what you've saved before: import your saved places from Google Maps, or your saved posts from Instagram and TikTok.
Can I import my Google Maps saved places?
Yes. Trips Together can import the places you've saved in Google Maps from a Google Takeout file, so every pin you've ever dropped lands on your Trips Together map.
Who can see the places I save?
You choose, list by list. A private list is only for you, a shared list is for the people you invite, and a public list shows on your profile.
Planning with Ori
Who is Ori?
Ori is the travel concierge built into Trips Together. Tag @Ori in a chat and it plans with you right in the thread: it finds stays and flights that fit your budget, puts the options to a vote and lines up the links to book.
Can Ori set up a group vote?
Yes. When Ori finds options, tap Put these to a vote and a poll goes into the trip chat. Everyone picks, you can see who's voted, and Ori tells whoever started the poll once the whole group has had their say.
Can Ori plan a trip on a budget?
Yes. Set a target per person and Trips Together prices the whole trip against it, showing what each person pays and whether you're over or under. Switch between Lean, Balanced and Splash to see the plan change.
Can I use Ori in a one-to-one chat?
Yes. Ori works in a one-to-one chat as well as in your group's trip chat, so you can plan wherever you're already talking about the trip.
Booking and money
Can I book flights and hotels in Trips Together?
You book directly with the airline or the place you're staying. Trips Together finds the options and Book now opens the provider's own site, so you check out with them. Mark it as booked afterwards and the whole group can see it's done.
How do we split costs on a group trip?
Add each cost to the trip, or scan the receipt, and Trips Together works out everyone's share. You'll see what's been spent, who paid for what and what you owe or are owed. Settle up shows exactly who pays who until everyone is square.
Groups and sharing
How do I invite friends to a trip?
Send them the trip's invite link. They tap Join trip and they're in the trip chat, the plan and the costs with everyone else.
Can I copy a trip someone else has posted?
Yes. On any trip a friend posts, tap Plan my version and choose Use this trip as a template. Trips Together copies the days, stays and places into a new trip of your own, ready to change. Or chat to Ori about it to see what it would cost you or what to swap.
What's the easiest way to plan a group trip with friends?
Start from the places you've already saved, and plan where you already talk. With Trips Together, everyone shares their reels, Ori finds the options and runs the vote in your trip chat, and the costs split themselves, so nobody ends up doing all the organising.
How is Trips Together different from other trip planners?
Most trip planners start from a blank itinerary or a generic top-10 list. Trips Together starts from what your group already saved, plans inside your trip chat with Ori, and keeps the money in the same place, so the trip feels like yours and actually gets booked.
